Healthcare professionals and students are invited to a Radiation Oncology Information Night at Waikato Hospital on Thursday 10 September at 6pm, offering an opportunity to learn more about radiation therapy and the patient journey through treatment.
Radiation therapy plays an important role in modern cancer care and can be used alone or alongside treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy.
During the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to:
learn about radiation therapy and what treatment involves
meet radiation oncologists and radiation therapists
tour the radiation therapy department
see a demonstration of patient treatment and ask questions.
